The ISMail EP web plugin includes the following features:
Webmail:
The Webmail demo shows how Webmail works.
Webmail is available for all ISMail EP accounts and domains.
Webmail stores all messages on the mail server; unlimited storage (or account quotas) are available. Messages may be accessed and managed from any web browser.
Webmail features include:
Webmail is compatible with existing mail clients (e.g. Outlook, Eudora, Netscape Messenger), so these can also be used to access mail.
Remote Administration:
Manage the ISMail EP server, domains, and user accounts remotely through a web browser.
A server administrator may use remote administration to completely control the ISMail EP server, including all global, domain-specific, and individual account settings. The administrator may also view and download log files, check status, perform backups, and restart servers.
Domains may be managed by the server administrator; domain management may also be delegated to Domain Managers -- special accounts setup for domain owners where settings that are specific to a domain can be managed independently by the domain owner. Domain Managers may add, remove, and modify domain and user accounts.
Users are may manage their own individual mail accounts through a special URL, or simply through an integrated Webmail menu. Users can change passwords, configure auto-responders, and control their own individual message filters remotely.
Web folders (web-based file storage):
Web folders provide a web-based file system for each user account. Public, shared, and private folders provide simple and secure access to files. Any WebDAV client may be used with web-based files, including Windows Mapped Network Drives and Network Places. Webmail accounts may also access files to add and save message attachments. Web browsers can be used to read and download files.

ISMail EP includes an LDAP server (based on OpenLDAP). The LDAP server can be run on the same system as ISMail EP, or an external LDAP server can be used.
